Career in forensic science Science has different units such as chemistry, biology, physics, geology, psychology, ballistics etc. which are applied to analyse a particular crime scene which helps in detecting criminals by scientifically establishing their hands in crime.

It also used to protect public health, to enforce criminal laws and regulations and resolve civil disputes. The Forensic Science experts work in close cooperation with law enforcing and crime investigation agencies like the police. Depending on the requirement, the Forensic Science experts visit the crime scene and collect physical scientific evidence available on the crime scene and later analyze those and provide inputs to the investigating agencies about the criminals. They also and cone out with scientific evidence against the criminals and helps the investigating agencies to prove them guilty in the court of law.

There are lots of scope in Forensic Sciences and one can after obtaining knowledge can opt for practice as a forensic expert and join government departments as forensic science officer. The study of forensic science helps in improving skills.

If one wants to pursue a career in Forensic Science then first you have to complete 10+2 examination from Science branch for admission into UG course. Then after completing a bachelor’s degree, you can apply for master degree i.e. M. Sc in Forensic Science.

The need for forensic scientists is huge all around the world because of increasing crime rate and use of spate of use of technology by criminals.

On the other hand, you can also teach forensic science in various institutions to impart education about forensic issues.
