Edtech startup White Hat Jr. looking to hire 1900 staff (1500 teachers and 400 employees)on immediate basis

 

With the ongoing coronavirus pandemic locking everyone up in their homes , there has now been a surge in digital learning initiatives with majority of the educational institutions holding online classes for its students.

Moreover, this pandemic has also forced some organizations to reduce their workforce due to a halt in their economic activities which has caused huge losses to them.

In spite of all the pros and cons that the coronavirus pandemic has brought upon this world, an educational start up White Hat Jr. has find its own innovative way of looking after its management which has not only increased its profits but have also ushered a ray of hope in some human lives.

In an interview with Business Insider, Karan Bajaj , CEO of White Hat Jr. said that the company is doubling the number of its employees and teachers to meet the 100 per cent month-on-month increase in student enrollments.

He also said that the company now has 1500 teachers and 400 employees looking after its management functions after it recruited some people in April.

All the teachers of White Hat Jr. conduct technological courses for children between 6-14 years in online mode.

The CEO also claimed that students are registering in the educational platform in large numbers due to which it is looking to hire employees across domains like teaching, sales, curriculum, creations and operations.

Although, the new hires are expected to have 1 to 5 years of work experience, the CEO said that the experience criteria vary according to the job roles.

He also said that the minimum compensation that the company is considering for entry-level employees is Rs 5 lakh per annum.

Backed by Nexus Venture Partners and Omidyar Network India,  the company is now eyeing global expansion as the enrollments keeps on increasing at a rapid rate.
